Part of the work of MENTOR will be to ensure that once plans have been agreed and contract signed, regular reports and updates will be provided.
Some via internet support but others by briefings, meetings and seminars
to discuss progress, problems, schedules and budgets.
Projects are monitored throughout a 7 Stage Approach
- Evaluation – choose the line to upgraded or validated. Evaluate the current line, equipment, software, devices, speed, pack handling etc.
Decide on the regulatory issues, complete a GAP analysis, prepare
a line evaluation report with detailed analysis, timescales,
a full costing and outline relevant resource implications.
- Preparation – write RFP / URS. This will describe the finished
process in detail, whether a retrofit line or a new build line.
The URS will also be used as the basis for a tender document
for outsourcing or contract packing.
- Piloting and Testing – create and test working model
- Implementation – single line installation
- Planning – evaluation and scheduling of the next stages
- Roll-out – deliver the solution to line locations and establish
- Training, support, maintenance, upgrades - ongoing commitment.
